The Definition Panel in the UI Editor is a tool for the loading and saving of the UI file, as well as overlay and template manipulation.

Create/Load Definition

The top bar allows for either loading an existing .ui file, or creating a new one. To create a new one, simply fill in a name for the UI definition in the name field and click "Create".

Definition List

The definition list shows what definitions are currently loaded for editing and any overlays that are active on them. Clicking between different definitions updates the Hierarchy panel to show the hierarchy of the active definition.

Configuration

The configuration area at the bottom of the definition panel shows the translation prefix and the templates tree.

Translation Group

The translation group is used when generating translations for UI elements. If no translation group is supplied, then none of the text will have translation tables generated for them. Generally, you will need to add the same value to the translation prefix on the Admin page for the package you're configuring.

Templates

The templates tree shows all local and global templates defined in the current .ui file, split into Local and Global templates. Existing templates can be removed by clicking on them and then clicking the delete button which appears beside them. New templates are created through the Hierarchy.
